Jaume Puig

CEO & CIO GVC Gaesco Gestión SGIIC & GVC Gaesco Pensiones SGFP

Member of the Management Committee of the GVC Gaesco Group.

He directly manages several investment funds and SICAVs. In 1995, he joined GVC Gaesco. Up to now he has won 24 awards for investment management, of which 18 were personally managed funds, 5 awards held by the management company as its Investment Director and award-winning to the best Fund Manager Equity in the decade 2000-2010.

Jaume holds degrees in Economics and in Actuary Sciences from the University of Barcelona. He is a Certified European Financial Analyst by EFFAS. ICMB Fixed Income Portfolio Management. EFPA.

He began his professional career in 1989 at Fibanc and after at Banco Vitalicio, the insurance company belonging to Generali, as an actuary and joined Gaesco in 1995. Later, he held successively positions as analyst, chief analyst, portfolio manager and since 2000, CEO and CIO of GVC Gaesco Gestión, S.G.II.C. He currently holds the positions of CEO of GVC Gaesco Gestión, S.G.I.I.C. and GVC Gaesco Pensiones, EGFP and as Investment Manager of the management company, directly manages several investment funds and SICAVs, variable income as well as Absolute Return. He runs the R&D department of Absolute Return investment management since he founded it in 2000.

Vice-president of Inverco Catalunya. He has collaborated with different institutions such as IESE, ESADE, Barcelona GSE, IEF, UdL, Col·legi Economistes and Col·legi Actuaris. He is member of the Col·legi d’Economistes de Catalunya among other professional associations such as the Col·legi d’Actuaris de Catalunya and the Instituto de Analistas Financieros (IAF). Outstanding from among his regularly contribution with several media, is his monthly column in La Vanguardia newspaper as the longest, over than a decade.

As part of his volunteer work, he is a Member of the Investment Commission of the VHIR Foundation (Vall d’Hebron Research Institute), and of the Investment Commission of the Sant Pau Research Institute, among others.

Ignacio Hosta

He has a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona. He has taken several courses on options and derivatives. He began his professional career at the Gaesco Securities Company where, in addition to performing contracting functions in the national and international Variable Income area, he was responsible for the Futures and Options area at the contracting desk. After several years in the Securities Company, he joined the group's management company as manager of Investment Funds and SICAVs.

Xavier Cebrián

Senior Asset Manager

He has more than 15 years of experience in the sector. He joined Gaesco as an analyst in the Research&Service department in 2005. From 2008 to the present, he is a manager of Mutual Funds, SICAVs and Pension Funds in the Asset Management Department of GVC Gaesco.

He has a degree in Economic Sciences from the Rovira i Virgili University (Reus) and a degree in Business Administration and Management (BA BUSINESS) from the University of Paisley (Glasgow). He has completed a specialized master's degree in “Financial Markets and Asset Management” at the Institute of Stock Market Studies (IEB), Madrid.

María Morales Calvo

Senior Asset Manager - Fixed Income

She has more than 25 years of experience in the sector. In 2017 she joined GVC Gaesco Gestión as Head of Fixed Income to take charge of the Fixed Income Funds range and implement an active and flexible management model in this asset class.

Degree in Economics from the ETEA University of Cordoba. B.A. Honors Degree in Business, Languages and IT, from the University of Wolverhampton (UK). She holds the title of European Financial Advisor by the European Financial Planner Association.

She began her professional career in 1998 as an Equities Manager in Cajasur's Capital Markets and continued her career, in 2006, in Banco Madrid's management team as Head of Fixed Income for Investment Funds and SICAVs. After nine years of experience at Banco Madrid, she joined Merchbanc as Director of Fixed Income Management.

Josep Monsó

Senior Asset Manager

He joined GVC Gaesco in 2005 as a member of the research department, in 2009 he becomes in equity analyst, to begin as asset manager in 2012. He is currently managing 4 funds.

• GVC Gaesco Oportunidad Empresas Inmobiliarias, FI, since its inception in November 2011.
• Bona-Renda FI, International balanced equity fund, since January 2013.
• GVC Gaesco Junior FP (P.P. Capitalization Plan), since June 2019.
• Novafondisa FI, Euro balanced equity fund, since June 2019.

He has a Diploma in Advanced Studies (DEA) from the University of Barcelona (Master Science Equivalent), after passing the first cycle of doctor’s degree in Applied Economics in the Department of Statistics, Econometrics and Spanish Economy of the University of Barcelona, specializing in Techniques and Analysis in Applied Economics.

He has a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Barcelona, where he later completed a Postgraduate Degree in Accounting and Economic Valuation of Companies. He was part of the regional quantitative analysis (AQR) research group at the University of Barcelona for three years.

Anna Batlle

With more than 15 years of experience in the sector. She joined Gaesco's Research Department in 2005 and in 2008 she joined the GVC Gaesco Gestión team.

She holds a degree in Physics from the University of Barcelona. She subsequently completed a Master's degree in Financial Markets at Pompeu Fabra University. She holds the European Financial Advisor (EFA) and the International Certificate in Financial Advice (ICFA).

Alberto Iglesias

Senior Asset Manager

In 2014, he joined the GVC Gaesco team to manage Investment Funds and Sicavs.  He has more than 22 years of management experience.

He began his professional career at Banesto Banca Privada Gestión SGIIC in 2001, where he spent 13 years, in charge of Funds and Portfolio mandates, being a strategist of the Manager and Responsible for the American model portfolio. He also contributed in the control area to model the alternative valuation of fixed income assets.

He has a degree in Economics and Business Administration. He has a Master's Degree in Derivatives from the Options and Futures Institute and a Specialist Degree in Banking and Finance from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (I.E.B). He is a CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) candidate through the EQC route.

He began his professional career at GVC Gaesco at the Brokerage house and he joined after the Asset Management company in 2014 where he performs tasks as a manager and financial analyst. Moreover, he combines his talks in the Management house being a teacher at the University of Barcelona (UB) teaching classes on fundamental theory of analysis.

He has a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona and in Law from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). Subsequently, he completed a master’s degree in financial management at the same university. He has the CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) and CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) Certificates.

Pol Companys Trilla

He joined GVC Gaesco Gestión, SGIIC in 2016, where he currently works as a manager and analyst.

Graduated in Business Administration and Management by the University of Lleida. CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) and CIIA Holder (Certified International Investment Analyst). CFA Charteholder. He began his career in 2016 in GVC Gaesco Gestión S.G.I.I.C. At first, as a generalist Equity Financial Analyst, Since 2018, he is also a Portfolio Manager, managing several SICAVs and Mutual Funds.

Graduate in Mathematics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona. He joined the GVC Gaesco Gestión department in 2018, as part of the quantitative R&D team of Retorno Absoluto. He combines his duties at the asset managment with those of associate professor in the Department of Mathematics at the UPC. 

Ricard Millán

Graduate in Information Sciences from the UAB. He studied at the French Lyceum in Barcelona. He began his professional career as a photojournalist and editor in various national publications, covering general current information. Financially, he began his career as a stockbroker in various Stock Exchange and Exchange Agents in Barcelona. Since 1988, he has been dedicated to portfolio management, specializing in the national equity market. He joined Gaesco in 1995, becoming part of the structure of the GVC Gaesco Securities Company in 2011 as a portfolio manager, responsible for the Classic Ibex model portfolio. Starting in 2013, he joined GVC Gaesco Gestión as manager of Collective Investment Institutions.

With more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector, she is the head of institutional sales for Spain and Andorra at GVC Gaesco Gestión.

She began her professional career at Banco Banif as an investment fund manager. In 1998 she left portfolio management to focus on institutional sales, moving to Banco Santander, where she developed a new project , distributing European equities  to Spanish institutions. In 2000, Lehman Brothers relied on her to set up the capital markets desk within the institutional equity sales team, as well as being responsible for recruiting new talent for Spain.

Prior to joining GVC Gaesco in 2015, where she was in charge of the the private client team in Madrid, she worked at Nomura and Banco Madrid as head of equity electronic execution.

En 1997 entró a formar parte del equipo de GVC Gaesco Gestión, tras su paso por el Servicio de Estudios de la Bolsa de Barcelona. Durante más de 20 años desarrolló en la gestora tareas de análisis, gestión, comunicación, coordinación y reporting. En 2019 fue nombrada Órgano de Seguimiento de Operaciones Vinculadas y Cumplimiento Normativo de GVC Gaesco Gestión.
