The management company does not take into consideration the principal adverse impacts on sustainability factors as far as entity is concerned, since it does not currently have due diligence policies related to such adverse impacts. The management company keeps this approach under review.
At the financial product level, though, the managers of Collective Investment Institutions (CIIs) promoting environmental and social features (Article 8, according to SFDR) do consider the principal adverse impacts during their investment process. Further information is provided in Section “Funds promoting environmental and social features (Article 8)”.
GVC Gaesco Gestión firmly believes that the proactive incorporation of Environmental, Social and Governance factors helps to improve the investment decision-making. By integrating sustainability risks into the investment decision-making process, we seek to identify, assess and, where possible, attempt to mitigate these risks.
The following section describes the Sustainability Risk Integration Policy in the investment decision-making process to comply with the Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector (SFDR).
GVC Gaesco Gestión tracks the companies in which it invests to verify and identify those that are focused and build long-term value and evidence good governance practices.
The management company fosters an active dialogue and the exercise of political rights with the companies in which it invests, especially those it feels its involvement will become a true impact on the company’s management and, consequently, on sustainability factors (Environmental, Social and Governance).
