Jesús Muela Abad

Deputy General Manager of GVC Gaesco Valores and Head of Corporate Finance, Capital Markets and Private Equity

Member of the Management Committee of the GVC Gaesco Group. 

Throughout his professional career he has been involved in a large number of Capital Market transactions (IPOs, Capital Increase, Fixed Income issues), Financial and Investment advice to listed and unlisted companies and Sale and Purchase of companies. Formerly he has held the position of Managing Director of GVC Gaesco Pensiones, EGFP, and Director of the Corporate Finance and Analysis Areas of GVC Gaesco. 

He began his professional career at Banca Mediolanum, where he held several positions in the areas of Equity Analysis, Private Banking and Corporate Banking of the bank and the Management Company of IICs. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Economic and Business Sciences, a Master's degree from IESE and a diploma in Humanistic and Social Studies. He has been Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona and the Abat Oliva-CEU University.

José Antonio Tamayo Ascorbebeitia

General Manager of Markets

Member of the Management Committee and Board member of GVC Gaesco Valores in ESN North America. 

Throughout his professional career, he has been involved in a large number of capital market transactions (both Equity and Fixed Income) for listed and unlisted companies. He leads the Institutional Equity and Fixed Income Sales Team, which is basically in charge of carrying out Privatization, IPO and Capital Increase transactions. Formerly he worked at Bankia Bolsa as Commercial Director, Caja Madrid Bolsa as Analysis Director, ODDO Spain as Analysis Director and MG Valores as Financial Analyst. 

He holds a degree in Economics and a diploma in Law, both from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, a degree in Law from the UNED and M.B.A from the Instituto de Empresa.

Víctor Peiro

General Manager of Analysis and Strategy

In his current position as Director of Analysis at GVC Gaesco Valores, he is responsible for equity strategy, selection of preferred securities and macroeconomic vision of the department, as well as coverage of several listed companies in the utilities and energy sectors. Like the entire analysis team at GVC Gaesco Valores, he is also part of the team of 50 analysts of ESN - European Securities Network (a network of independent European brokers of which GVC Gaesco Valores is a founding member), producing joint analyses of listed European companies and sectors.

In the more than 30 years of experience in stock market research, he has been able to specialize in most of the listed sectors. This analysis activity has been developed in several Spanish brokers such as Ahorro Corporación, Banesto or Bankia. He has also developed teaching experience, giving classes in the Masters of Stock Exchange and Markets of the CEU, ICADE, IEB among others.

Victor has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) from the IEAF (Spanish Analysts Association).

Paco Illueca

Director of the Venture Capital Area

Se incorporó a GVC Gaesco en 2014. Especializado en valoración de empresas y en financiación de empresas (equity y deuda/Project Finance) en el sector de las energías renovables. 

Anteriormente trabajó como responsable financiero en FERSA, Energías Renovables y como Investment & Financing Director en GeenMax hasta su incorporación a GVC Gaesco.

Es licenciado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas, Finance, General por la Universitat de Barcelona y Master en Mercados Financieros por la misma universidad. Profesor en Masters financieros en la Universitat de Barcelona.

Berta Esteban San Román

Investment Banking Director

Más de 13 años de experiencia profesional. Inició su carrera en el área de consultoría de negocio y desde hace 10 años se centra en el asesoramiento en finanzas corporativas. Ha participado en numerosos procesos de operaciones de fusiones y adquisiciones y de mercado de capitales, focalizándose en el segmento Middle Market. Previamente a su incorporación a GVC Gaesco, Berta ha desarrollado su carrera en España en empresas como Accenture (en Consultoría de Negocio) y PwC (en el área de Corporate Finance) y en el Reino Unido en el Banco de Santander (en el departamento de Fusiones y Adquisiciones). Licenciada en Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad Pompeu Fabra, ha sido colaboradora de la Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Barcelona y Máster en Finanzas Corporativas y Derecho Mercantil por ESADE.
